ECO-BENIN

Eco-Bénin is an NGO created in 1999 by Gautier Amoussou, Ing. Agronomist. Eco-Bénin ensures better living standards of communities at local and national level through ecotourism and eco-development promotion as a sustainable management of natural resources. It is active in ecological and community based ecotourism. We are working with 12 rural communities and local landowners to set up sound ecotourism projects for the mutual benefit of both people and wildlife around Benin, from the North to the South. We implemented scientific information necessary for implementing sustainable conservation programs and provide communities with the skills necessary for the ecotourism planning and management. We also set up carbon offset projects to mitigate tourism impact on climate change.
