Government of British Columbia
The Government of British Columbia is the body responsible for the administration of the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Almost all local governments in B.C. are signatories of the BC Climate Action Charter and have committed to:
- Becoming carbon neutral in their corporate operations
- Measuring and reporting on their community’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
- Creating complete, compact, and more energy efficient rural and urban communities
As committed to in the CleanBC Roadmap to 2030, the Province recently announced the Local Government Climate Action Program to provide predictable, long-term funding to local governments and Modern Treaty Nations as they plan and implement climate actions.
