GVces

The Center for Sustainability Studies (GVces) was established in 2003 out of the pressing need that companies, their financiers, shareholders, managing officers, insurers, consultants and auditors have to understand, measure and assess risks and opportunities relating to apparently non-financial areas of impact, such as the environment, social responsibility and corporate governance. The Center’s mission is to contribute to implement sustainable development in its many dimensions-equity, social justice, ecological balance and economic efficiency, by studying and disseminating concepts and practices.

The GVces faces the challenge of becoming the Center of reference in studying matters that involve sustainability within the corporate and public policies context, therefore honoring FGV/EAESP’s historical contribution within these spheres.

The objective of the GVces is to provide answers to the economic agents-companies, their financiers, shareholders, managing officers, insurers, consultants and auditors-to understand, measure and assess risks and opportunities relating to apparently non-financial areas of impact, such as the environment, social responsibility and corporate governance.
