INAM is an institute of service and research capable of providing advanced climate services to the public and various economic sectors of Mozambique in order to assist decision making regarding security and socio-economic well-being.

INAM’s mission is to provide meteorological information necessary to ensure the sustainable development of the national economy of Mozambique, to mitigate the negative impacts related to the climate on human well-being and the natural environment, and to comply with national and international responsibilities in data sharing.
