Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development (MARD) is currently designing its own Action Plan for Adaptation and Mitigation, where concerns of cultivation technology, resilient crop varieties and changing quality and quantity of water for agriculture are being addressed by adaptation. MARD is a governmental agency performing state management functions in the fields of agriculture, forestry, salt production, irrigation / water services and rural development nationwide, including state management functions with regard to delivery of public service and management of the state owned enterprises.
