Ritsumeikan University
Ritsumeikan University is a private university in Kyoto, Japan, that traces its roots to 1869. Today, Ritsumeikan University is considered to be one of Japan’s top universities, and is especially well known for its International Relations programme which has been ranked as first place in Japan. It has exchange programmes with schools throughout the world, including The University of British Columbia, The University of Melbourne, The University of Sydney, University of Hong Kong and King’s College London. The school also offers a dual bachelor’s degree program and dual master’s degree programme in collaboration with American University, and offers a dual bachelor’s degree in collaboration with The University of British Columbia.
Ritsumeikan University has established research organizations to promote research in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. The research institutes and research centers under the umbrella of these research organizations conduct a broad range of activities.
