Ruliv is a non-profit organisation of highly experienced multi-disciplinary professionals providing support services around all aspects of rural and urban development. Based in East London in the Eastern Cape, the organisation renders services to a diverse range of clients ranging from village-based community development organisations, NGO’s, the private sector, Local Municipalities, Provincial and National Government and State agencies. Ruliv has expertise in developing and the management of participatory agricultural and socio-economic development projects; managing natural resources; providing strategic skills to assist municipalities and local development agencies to better implement and manage their community and economic development projects. Ruliv is the implementing agent for the Sustainable Rural Development in the Eastern Cape (SURUDEC) Programme, a pilot programme jointly funded by the European Union and the provincial office of the Premier.
