Valparaiso University is a state, public and autonomous institution, founded on a long tradition and is seen as mission to generate and disseminate knowledge, cultivating science and technology, humanities and arts, through the development of teaching pre- undergraduate, graduate and research, providing training skills for graduates, professionals and researchers that society requires, within a framework of quality management and commitment to regional and national development.
The values that inspire are participation, solidarity, equity, freedom, pluralism, critical thinking and respect for diversity.
To date, the University of Valparaiso has a total of ten Research (CI and CID) dedicated to the study of natural sciences; technology and medical sciences; the promotion and protection of health; the legal, administrative and economic sciences; technology and engineering sciences, and social sciences and humanities.
