VCA information session: Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Reform

Join us for this information session hosted by the Voices for Just Climate Action Programme!

When?17th August 13:00 (BST)

This information session aims to enable civil society and climate-affected communities to engage in multi-development bank (MDB) reform discussions and identify opportunities for engagement.

In this session, the speakers will discuss and exchange views on the various perspectives on the depth, approach and process of the MDB reform proposals; and opportunities for scaling finance for people-centred and rights-based climate action.

The discussion includes:

  1. What is the status of the MDB reform discussions? What are the current proposals for reform? What are the opportunities for influencing?
  2. What opportunities and risks are associated with the proposed MDB reform for climate-affected and low-income countries?
  3. What civil society priorities should the MDB reform processes consider to affect people-centred and rights-based climate action?
  4. What should be VCA’s position on the MDB reform?
