The Mountains Connect Interregional Workshop brought together more than sixty participants from across the world's mountain regions to share and create new knowledge and experiences on adaptation and regional governance in mountain ranges.
As part of the UNEP mountain team I work in the areas of climate change adaptation, mountain range governance and sustainable mountain development. Primarily, responsibilities include the implementation of the SDC-funded programme Adaptation at Altitude: Taking Action in Mountains that aims to strengthen and mainstream climate change adaptation in mountain regions and several other projects. In particular, I focus on fostering regional mountain governance in the South Caucasus and East Africa region, promoting adaptation solutions and regional policy processes, as well as interregional exchange and action learning. Other responsibilities include project development, event management, outreach and other activities around sustainable mountain development.
