I have an MSc in Aquatic and Environmental Engineering from Uppsala University/SLU in Sweden. I started to work on municipal level in Sweden with centralized as well as on-site waste water treatment before going to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as a Sida “Bilateral Associate Expert” assisting a regional ecological sanitation programme implemented by CREPA in 10 West African countries. The work in West Africa included R&D, supervision, knowledge management, capacity building as well as coordinating an IFAD financed pilot project on productive sanitation in Niger. In 2010 I joined SEI and the EcoSanRes program and has continued to work on sustainable sanitation issues with focus on the link between sanitation and agriculture. I have also been involved with the international training programme on climate change organized by SMHI/SWECO/SEI. I am particularly interested in climate change adaptation of sanitation systems and agriculture.
