International Project Manager
Mr Lazare Nzeyimana holds an MSc in Water Resources and Livelihood Security with more than 16 years working experience in the environmental sector. Areas of expertise are Water Resources Planning and Management, Climate Adaptation, Environmental and social Impact Analysis. He is a part-time PhD student developing methods for enhancing resilience to drought in the context of Climate Change
Lazare has an extensive experience in project appraisal, analysis of knowledge gaps and needs in environmental country policies connected to societal challenges. In previous missions, he has been responsible for the development and coordination of international capacity-building initiatives on the fields of solid waste, water, environment and climate. The assignments included among others evaluation of projects applications and mentorship during projects implementation.
Lazare is originally from Burundi (East Africa) and has a vast experience of climate and environmental work in developing countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Mozambique, Angola, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. Through projects monitoring and mentorship, he has been in regular contact with many students and institutions working on climate, energy, water, agriculture, transportation, finance, urban planning, etc. Lazare professional market includes the countries: Zambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Macedonia and Ukraine
He is fluent in French, English, Swedish, Swahili and understands Spanish and Portuguese
