CNRM

CnRm in dark blue and light blue

The National Center for Meteorological Research (CNRM) is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 3589) formed by the CNRS and Météo-France. Until the end of 2015, the UMR was also called the Meteorological Atmosphere Study Group.

The CNRM is responsible for a large part of the research activities of the Public Administrative Establishment Météo-France, the national meteorological and climatic service.

The priorities go first and foremost to needs relating to the protection of people and property: weather forecasting on multiple spatio-temporal scales, physical and dynamic of the atmosphere, knowledge and evolution of the climate, interactions between man, the climate and the atmosphere.
