The Geography Teachers’ Association of Victoria Inc. (GTAV) is a member based professional teaching association that assists geography teachers in Victoria. The GTAV is committed to excellence in geographical education in Victoria. We strive to achieve this by :

  • providing leadership in geographical education;
  • promoting the value and place of geography teaching and learning;
  • fostering participation of, and collaboration between students, teachers and the wider community; and by
  • providing quality services and support.

The GTAV has been an active non-profit professional association for over 60 years. Through our program and services we aim to promote Geography, geographical education and its importance to society.
