Digital Transformation (smart street lighting)

Hello All,

I am currently working on promoting a wind and solar powered smart pole that can reduce the carbon footprint of streetlighting by up to 94%.

We believe the technology could contribute to transformative adaptation in off grid communities. This will be achieved by opening opportunities for distance learning, and participation in the digital revolution. Thus, transforming livelihoods away from farming to occupations less vulnerable to climate change.

Additionally, due to being off grid, communications, lighting etc. are likely to stay operational despite natural disasters, like flooding, that often disrupt grid-powered services.

We’d be really interested in hearing from anyone else engaging in this type of activity, or who can recommend an organisation that might be interested in funding a pilot project.
