Joto Afrika Magazine: Issue 25
Welcome to the Joto Afrika magazine!
Joto Afrika is a series of printed briefings and online resources about adapting to climate change in sub-Saharan Africa. The series will help people understand the issues, constraints, and opportunities that poor people face in adapting to climate change and escaping poverty. Joto Afrika is Swahili; it can be loosely translated to mean ‘Africa is feeling the heat’.
In Issue 25, they do a deep dive into one of the options for addressing climate change through the buying and selling of carbon! Yes, Carbon Markets!
It also has opinion pieces covering the 2023 Africa Climate Summit and innovative climate financing through greenbonds.
Future issues will focus on climate change and pastoralism and climate change and energy.
