Hi all,
We’re running our 2nd Mesh event in Bristol on the evening of the 28th Feb, for anyone based in the UK working on climate services (in the UK or internationally). The idea is to provide a space semi-regularly where parts of the UK adaptation community can get together and find out what everyone’s up to. It’s 4-5 short talks (5-8 mins) and then free drinks and food! We had a successful launch in London in Oxtober, with around 60 people from a mix of government, NGOs and the private sector meeting and getting to know the exciting work everyone’s doing. We’re excited to have the followign speakers for our Bristol event:
- Nick Pyatt on the work Trioss have been doing on resilience and adaptation pathways in Somerset
- Alison Sneddon from Practical Action on findings from their Climate Information Services Research Initiative
- Colin Taylor from the University of Bristol on City Resilience in Bristol
- Richard Flemming, Space4 Climate/TCARTA on ‘Using earth observation for monitoring and managing changes to near shore and coastal environments’
- A Met Office speaker on the use and application of the UKCP18 climate projections
More info and registration is here. Hopefully see some of you there!
Ben
