Lecturer
My research interests and contributions are trifold: (a) developing scientifically rigorous measures of multidimensional poverty that are applicable in low- and middle-income countries, (b) understanding the intersectionality between poverty and inequalities resulting from age, gender, ethnicity, climate change, geographic regions (urban/rural), livelihood and work conditions, and (c) finding the protective factors that can help vulnerable groups stay economically and mentally resilient. My work in these fields receives funds from ESRC, NERC and UNICEF. I utilise both quantitative and qualitative methods in my work.
