Eco Green is a Community Based Organization formed in January 2015 by a group of enthusiastic youths. The organization was founded based on the need to promote and conserve the unique biodiversity resources of Busia County, Kenya through new approaches in conservation, and to support the movement towards a green and sustainable economy.
Eco Green seeks to ensure that Busia as a County embraces environmental conservation and ensures a stable biological diversity base. Eco Green is well linked to like – minded organizations, individuals, private sectors and institutions in Kenya, and aims to connect to other parts of Africa and beyond to enhance biodiversity conservation through the principles of Earth Democracy.
Eco Green intends to work in different counties of Kenya but mainly in Busia, parts of Siaya, Kakamega, and Bungoma Counties. Eco Green also intends to integrate with Eastern Uganda in order to rediscover the value of biodiversity and green sustainable management of natural resources to enhance sustainable development.
