Community Led Climate Adaptation Programme for Sustainable Livelihoods in Coastal Areas in South-Western Nigeria
The Nigerian coast is one of the low lying lagoonal Western African coasts, which is likely to experience severe impacts from flooding as a result of rising sea levels and climate change. Nigeria also has low adaptive capacity due to its limited experience with adaptation techniques. Livelihoods are now recognized as a key element in people’s adaptive capacity and vulnerability to climate-related stresses.
